We can start by making this more simple for ourselves.
A 10% tip is much easier to work with, rather than a 20% tip.
10% of 45 is 4.5. Since it’s a 20% tip, we’d multiply that by 2 to get 9.
Bailey should leave a $9 tip for the waitress.
