200 individuals from an African village were asked how many times they were vaccinated. Responses: 17 were never vaccinated, 30 were once, 58 were twice, 51 were three times, 38 were 4 times and 7 were 5 times. What is the probability that a randomly chosen person out of this 200 is vaccinated 3 times.

Answer:

The probability is
P(3) =0.255

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

The sample size is n = 200

The number that were never vaccinated is k = 17

The number that were vaccinated once is m = 30

The number that were vaccinated twice is p = 58

The number that were vaccinated three times is q = 51

The number that were vaccinated four times r = 38

The number that were vaccinated five times s = 7

Generally the probability that a randomly chosen person out of this 200 is vaccinated 3 times is mathematically represented as

P(3) = (q)/(n)

=>
P(3) = (51)/(200)

=>
P(3) =0.255
