fee per mile= 15 cent = $0.15

total =0.15x+2----------1

Can car

initial charge= $1.5

fee per mile= 20 cent = $0.2

total =0.20x+1.5-------------2

Step two:

equate 1 and 2 to find x

0.15x+2=0.2x+1.5

0.15x-0.2x=1.5-2

-0.05x=-0.5

x=0.5/0.05

x=10
