Answer: x= 7

How did i get x= 7?

1. first i did the distributive property for 8(2x-10) to get it 16x-80 (8*2 is 16 and 8*10 is 80)

2. now the equation is 16x-80+18=4x+22 (COMBINE like terms so -80+18= -62

3. now the equation is 16x-62= 4x+22 (combine like terms so subtract 4x with 16 to get 12x)

4. now the equation is 12x-62=22 (now add 62 on both sides 22+62 is 84)

5. now the equation is 12x= 84 (now divide 84 by 12 to get 7)
