Answer:

y = 2x - 5

Explanation:

slope-intercept form is
y = mx + b with
m being the slope of the line and
b being the y-intercept (where the line touches the y-axis)

First we can find
m using the formula for slope,
(rise)/(run) (or
(y_1 - y_2)/(x_1 - x_2)), which is the change in y over the change in x.

We can use any points on the line, but I am going to use
(4, 3) and
(3, 1) for this example. We can now find the slope.

(3-1)/(4-3) = (2)/(1)

This means your slope is 2, which means
m is 2.

Finding the y-intercept is easy. This line crosses the y-axis at -5, and so
b is -5.

Now we can plug in the values into our original equation to get the equation of the line.

y = 2x - 5

That is the answer
