However in the other world, the other mother and father make sure to focus on Coraline so that the other world is more appealing to Coraline, making her want to stay. What's so appealing about the other world is that it's more interesting then the real world. Things are more focused on her in a way, and she get's more attention. Her father in the real world makes dishes that don't appeal to Coraline, but in the Other world, Coraline's father makes nice simple dishes such as Turkey, and mash potatoes and gravy, things like that. Coraline does enjoy the other world until the other mother gets angry with her when she doesn't take the button eyes.

Coraline's ordinary world consists of being bored and lonely while in her other world, it revolves around her and her happiness and desires. Her life with her ordinary family is difficult and boring to her but her other family finds ways to meet her expectatins and desires. In the other world, Coraline finds that everything is very fun and just how she likes it and that appeals her desires.
