Answer:

15/8 or convert into a mix number 1 7/8

Explanation:

(5x4) + (5x8) / 8x4

= 20 + 40/32

= 60/32

*Reduce by dividing both the numerator and denominator by GCF (60,32): 4*

60 divided by 4 and 32 divided by 4 which equals 15/8

To get mixed number how many times can 8 go into 15, 1 with 7 left over leaving us with 1 7/8

Explanation:

There are alternative ways you can do this. I just worked with what they gave me and found the lcm. Then I simplified from there as shown in the picture
