x=-19

Explanation:

Distribute

−4(x+1)−3=−3(x−4)

−4−4−3=−3(−4)

Subtract the numbers

-4x-4-3(x-4)

−4x−4−3=−3(x−4)−4−7=−3(−4)

Distribute again..

−4x−7=−3(x−4)

−4-7=−3+12

Add 7 to both sides and then Simplify!
