Why does our body stretch when we go into space?

Answer: Hope this helps you understand why our body stretches in space... So, basically micro gravity means an object that has no weight. Which means that your weight in space will be much lighter than on Earth. When it refers to " squishy spinal discs between vertebra freedom to relax and expand," it means that when you press down a spring and then stop pressing down on the spring it is free to expand without pressure on it. Then it talks about how it takes a few months which means the people who went to space would get their original height on Earth in a few months because of going to space... Hope this explanation helps... Sorry i copy/pasted it last time... Stay safe and have a great day!!! :D

The growth spurt happens because microgravity allows the squishy spinal discs between vertebra freedom to relax and expand — almost like relieving pressure on a spring. It takes a few months to return to normal height after they get back to Earth.
