A theater rents their space for $650 per night.

The renters are willing to contribute $200 but need
to make the rest in ticket sales. If the renters
charge $8 per ticket, then what is the least number
of tickets that must be sold in order to make a
profit?

Answer:

(exact 56.25) rounded, more realistic 57 tickets

Explanation:

650 total

650-200=450 this is the price removing the 200 as the starting investment.

450÷8 = 56.25 people would need to buy movie tickets.

since there can not be 0.25 of a ticket then, a rounded 57 people would have to buy tickets and they would have 456$

they only need 450 (56.25×8) so they have an extra 6 dollars to buy KitKats and candy or something.
