Jack wants to buy a pair of trousers for $60. When he went to the store he found that the price was marked down by 20%. How much do they cost now?

The trousers will cost $48.



60 / 100 = 0.6


20% off so that will make it 80% of 60 so you put the two together by doing:


0.6 * 80 = 48
