Why does 3D CGI animation create more realistic images than 2D figures?

3D has fewer pixels, so it does not have that boxy effect.

It allows for much more shadow, texture, and other 3D techniques.

We are more used to seeing 3D images, so they seem more realistic.

2D is only used for cartoon characters that are not supposed to look real.

short answer it's created to look more real unlike 2d

Step-by-step explanation:

long answer

in 2D animation, characters and objects on screen only consist of a height and a width. In contrast, 3D animation comprises the manipulation of characters and objects with three dimensions: height, width, and depth. As a result, 3D makes more realistic characters and objects than 2D animation.
