Answer: 16 horses.

Explanation:

Given data:

Distance they rode = 176miles

Changing of horses = every 11 miles

Solution

= 2 ( 179 ) / 11

= 352 / 11

= 32.

Horses rode by each rider

= 32/2

= 16.

Each rider rode 16 horses for the 176miles journeys.
