Make d the subject of the formula h=
(d)/(3)+2

First you would subtract 2 to get d/3 by itself. On the left side you would have h-2 and one the right d/3 (h-2=d/3). Then you divide by 3 to get d by itself. So the answer is h/3-2/3=d
