Answer: He will need 20 feet of fabric .

Explanation:

Given: circumference of cushion = 7.85 feet.

Since , circumference =
2\pi r , where r = radius.

\Rightarrow\ 2*3.14* r=7.85\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=(7.85)/(6.28)\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=1.25

Area of each piece =
\pi r^2

=3.14*(1.25)^2=4.90625$\approx5\text{ feet}

Area of 2 pieces = 2 x 5 feet = 10 feet

Area for 2 cushions = 2 x (Area of 2 pieces)

= 2 x 10 feet = 20 feet

He will need 20 feet of fabric .
