Explanation:

5(2+x)=2x/10

mutiply both sides by 10

10×5(2+x)=10×(2x/10)

50(2+x)=2x

100+50x=2x

50x- 2x=-100

48x= -100

x=-100/48

x=-2.083

Answer:

The required equation is:
5*(x+2)=(2x)/(10) and after solving we get

value of x to be
x=-(25)/(12)

Explanation:

We need to construct an equation and then solve the equation.

Let the number be x.

Mathematical form of Add 2 to a number then multiply the result be 5 will be:

5*(x+2)

Mathematical form of dividing twice the number by 10: 2x/10

Final equation will be:
\textbf {5*(2x)=(2x)/(10)}\\
5*(x+2)=(2x)/(10)\\

Now, we will solve the equation:

5*(x+2)=(2x)/(10)\\\\5x+10=(x)/(5)

Multiply both sides by 5

5*(5x+10)=(5x)/(5)\\25x+50=x

Subtracting 25x from both sides

25x+50-25x=x-25x\\50=-24x\\

Divide both sides by -24

(50)/(-24)=(-24x)/(-24)\\x=(50)/(-24)\\x= - (25)/(12) \\

So, value of x is
x=-(25)/(12)
