(a) Write the point—slope form of a function that has a slope of —3 and passes through the point (11, 2).

Answer: 2-0=-3(11-12)

Explanation:

First, use a graphing calculator or a piece of paper to graph the line and find the other point. I like to use Desmos (look it up, its an online graphing calculator).

Draw/ put a point at (11,2) on your graph.

Slope is rise/run and our slope in this case is -3/1 so from your point count down three and right one place another point there.

(11,2) and our new point (12,0)

Next, plug the points and the slope into a point-slope form equation y-y1)=m(x-x1)
