Explanation:

Such as,

256 x 1/2 =

128.

The last digit isn't a 3, it's an 8.

Another Example,

176 x 1/2 =

88.

The last digit is also an 8 here, and not a 3.

It does work for some equations, but not for most of them, hope this helps!
