3x + x = 180 → 4x = 180

4x / 4 = 180 / 4

(8x + 5) + (3x + 8) = 90 → 11x + 13 = 90

11x + 13 - 13 = 90 - 13

11x = 77

11x / 11 = 77 / 11

x = 7

(8x + 5) = 8(7) + 5

56 + 5 = 61

(3x + 8) = 3(7) + 8

21 + 8 = 29
