Explanation:

y = 6 \tan( (x)/(2) ) - 3

Set y=0

0 = 6 \tan( (x)/(2) ) - 3

3 = 6 \tan( (x)/(2) )

(1)/(2) = \tan( (x)/(2) )

\tan {}^( - 1) ( (1)/(2) ) + \pi = (x)/(2)

Multiply both sides by 2

2 \tan {}^( - 1) ( (1)/(2) ) + 2\pi = x

So the x intercepts of the function is

2 \tan {}^( - 1) ( (1)/(2) ) + 2\pin
