Explanation:
1:
you can undo the problem: you can find the opposite of 4 which is negative 4, so then you add 6 to negative 4 and you get 2, so x = 2
2:
First, add 8 to 2 which is 10. So pretend the 8 got taken away and now we have the equation |x+5| = 10
Next, we take the opposite of 10, which is -10 then you can add 5 to -10 which is -5, so the answer to 2 should be -5.
