Explanation:

Let the number be x

twice the difference between 15 and a number

2(15-x)

Subtracted from 4 times the number

4x+ 5 - (2(15-x)) = 11

4x + 5 -30 + 2x = 11

6x -25 = 11

6x = 11 + 25

6x = 36

x = 36/6

x = 6
