x=59/5 or x=11.8 depends on which one you want to do both are true

Explanation:

Start with what you are given

angle 4= 5x+6 and angle 3=65 because lines m and n are both parallel angle4=angle3 in other words 5x+6=65

what you want to do is get x by itself.

1. Subtract 6 from both sides

5x+6-6=65-6

5x=59

2. Divide both sides by 5

5x/5=59/5

x=59/5

3. Check to see if you can simplify the fraction and if you teacher wants it in decimals or exact fraction.

x=59/5 or x=11.8 they are the same just ones a decimal the other is left as a fraction
