2x + 15 = 4x - 5

2x - 4x = -5 - 15

-2x = -20

-2x/-2 = -20/-2

x = 10

Hey :)

x = 10

Subtract 4x from both sides
2x + 15 −4x= −5

Combine 2x and −4x to get −2x
−2x + 15= −5

Subtract 15 from both sides
−2x = −5−15

Subtract 15 from −5 to get −20
−2x = −20

Divide both sides by −2
x = -20/-2

Divide −20 by −2 to get 10
x = 10

Hope this helps!
