Explanation:

Supplementary angles sum to 180° , thus

∠ A + ∠ B = 180 , that is

2x - 24 + 5x - 27 = 180

7x - 51 = 180 ( add 51 to both sides )

7x = 231 ( divide both sides by 7 )

x = 33

Thus

∠ B = 5x - 27 = 5(33) - 27 = 165 - 27 = 138°
