If you meant to say A' = {1,2,8}, then you are correct.

This is because you start with the universal set U = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8} and then you cross off the items 3,4,5,6,7 since those items are in set A.

So we get

{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8}

{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8} we'll be crossing the items in bold

{1,2,8}

This means that 1,2 and 8 are in set U but not in set A.
