A school playground is rectangular and has a length of 50 m and a width of 30 m. A safety zone of uniform width surrounds the playground. If the area of the safety zone equals the area of the playground, what is the width of the safety zone, to 2 decimal places?

**This is a quadratic borded problem! I'm very confused as to how to solve this so I wanted to ask for help.**

Answer:

2*50*30

Explanation:

Total area of zone and playground, (x+50)(x+30);

and this whole area is twice the area of the playground, consistent with description.
