Answer: Approximately 10.44 units

========================================================

Work Shown

The two points are
(x_1,y_1,z_1) = (0,0,0) and
(x_2,y_2,z_2) = (3,6,8)

Use the 3D version of the distance formula to get the following:

d = √((x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2+(z_1-z_2)^2)\\\\d = √((0-3)^2+(0-6)^2+(0-8)^2)\\\\d = √((-3)^2+(-6)^2+(-8)^2)\\\\d = √(9+36+64)\\\\d = √(109)\\\\d \approx 10.4403065\\\\d \approx 10.44\\\\

You'll need your calculator for the second to last step.
