We are given the statement that, If P is any odd number, then P + 2 is a prime number and we need to prove it either false or true, so as here it is written "any", so it means that the statement should be true for every and each odd number

  • Checking at P = 1

⇒ P + 2 = 3 ↔ True

  • Checking at P = 3

⇒ P + 2 = 5 ↔ True

  • Checking at P = 5

⇒ P + 2 = 7 ↔ True

  • Checking at P = 7

⇒ P + 2 = 9 ↔ False

The given statement becomes false for P = 7, so the given statement is false
