Answer:

Look at the dotted points on the line in your graph. check their coordinates, for your ease i am attaching a picture, please have a look.

so the two coordinates we have is : ( 3 , 1 ) , (- 1 , - 5)

Now let's find the gradient from these two coordinates.


(y_(1)-y_(2) )/(x_(1) -x_(2) )\\\\=(1-(-5))/(3-(-1))\\\\=(6)/(4)\\= 1.5

Now we use the equation of a straight line and here , you can use any of the coordinates. For my ease, I am using the first one:


y-y_(1) = m (x-x_(1))\\ y- 1 = (3)/(2) (x-3)\\\\2y-2 = 3x - 9\\2y - 3x = -7
