A)

T = total amount raised

p = number of people that attended

T = 30p + 800 $30 multiplied by the number of people who attended

T = 30(20) + 800 gives the amount raised at the fundraiser. We add 800

T = 600 + 800 because that was raised before the event.

T = $1400

B) If he split the money equaly between 2 organizations, we divide the total raised, T, by 2.

$1400/2 = $700 Each organization recieved $700
