Explanation:

9x + 4 = 6x + 6

Subtract 4 from both sides

9x + 4 - 4 = 6x + 6 - 4

9x = 6x + 2

Subtract 6x from both sides

9x - 6x = 2

3x = 2

Divide both sides by 2

3x/3 = 2/3

x = 2/3
