The Answer is B
When atoms combine, it’s usually through the transfer or sharing of valance electrons. Valance electrons are the electrons in the outermost shell of an atom. These electrons can be given away or shared to combine with other atoms. In this particular case with sodium and chlorine, sodium gives away a valance electron to chlorine.
