Answer:

The nickel sulfate will completely mix with the water in the beaker to form a uniform green solution

Step-by-step explanation:

When the nickel sulfate solution is placed in the bottom of the beaker of water, its molecules will more concentrated at the bottom of the beaker than in other parts of the beaker. Due to this high concentration of nickel sulfate molecules, the molecules will be colliding with one another at a frequent rate. With every collision occurring between the molecules, the molecules will continue to spread out further to other parts of the beaker where there is more space for the molecules and therefore less frequency of collision. Eventually, after many days, the molecules will spread out throughout the whole beaker completely mixing with the water molecules. This process is known as diffusion, which is defined as the movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration until equilibrium is attained.
