A fish tank measures 10 inches long and 5 inches wide. Micheal wants to buy a fish tank that can hold 150 cubic inches of water. What is the independent and dependent variable

h = 3 inches

Explanation:

Volume of the fish tank = length × width × height

Volume = 150 cubic inches

Length = 10 inches

Width = 5 inches

Height = x

Volume of the fish tank = length × width × height

height = volume of the fish tank / length*width

h= 150 / 10*5

h = 150 / 50

= 3

h = 3 inches

The height = 3 inches

From the height formula,

height = volume of the fish tank / length*width

The dependent variable is height

The independent variable are length, width and volume
