Okay so I wasn't at school the day we done this and I need help the problem is. Given the function g(x)= x to the 2nd power -2. It asks for us to find the range for the domain (-2,-1,1,3)

Explanation:

The range of domain refers to the set of possible input values, of all the input values. hence the range is the set of possible output values.

the given function is g(x)= x to the 2nd power -2--------expressed mathematically is


g(x)= x^-2

The range of input values are (-2,-1,1,3)

what is expected of you is to put the input values as x in the given function and the output is the result.

so for -2

g(-2)=(-2)^-2=-(-2*-2)=-(4)=-4

the output is -4

so for -1

g(-1)=(-1)^-2=-(-1*-1)=-(1)=-1

the output is -1

so for 1

g(1)=(1)^-2=(-1*-1)=1

the output is 1

so for 3

g(3)=(3)^-2=(-3*-3)=9

the output is 9

Therefore all the outputs are (-4,-1,1,9) which is the range of the domain
