Answer: 6

Explanation:

Given: Amount of sugar he has =
\frac34 pounds

Amount of sugar is required for each batch =
\frac18 pounds

Now, the greatest number of batches of cookies the baker can make with the
\frac34 pounds of sugar =
((3)/(4))/((1)/(8))=(3)/(4)*(8)/(1)


=3*2=6

Hence, the greatest number of batches of cookies the baker can make = 6
