Answer:

Momentum is vector quantity and it is defined as the product of mass of the object and velocity of the object.

As it is a vector quantity it has both direction and magnitude, and momentum is written as

p = m × v

p = momentum

m = mass of the object

v = velocity

Two kinds of momentum are there and they are:

  1. Linear Momentum
  2. Angular Momentum
