On a serious note, I think that the outlook on the earth's future can be seen as both positive and negative. Personally, and i'm gonna be completely transparent here, i don't necessarily care what the earth is gonna be like in 100 years. At that point I won't even be alive. While I know that may sound selfish and most people think, "Oh well you must not care about how the condition of earth is gonna be for your kids or even you grandkids!". And me response to that is simply, "they'll deal with it". For centuries, humanity has been adapting to unfortunate circumstances left for them by past generations, so why should future generations have it any differently? And besides, a hundred years from now, there's almost a 100% guarantee that our sciences and ways to adapting to the environment are going to be much more advanced and progressed than they are now. So while I may not care what the future holds, that doesn't mean that I throw all my trash on the street or I do my best to ruin the environment, it just means that I'm going to do my best while I can, and if that puts future generations in jeopardy then so be it...
