11. There are 300 and 250 cows on Farms A and B respectively. How

many cows from Farm A must be transferred to Farm B so that the
number of cows on Farm B is four times the number of cows on
Farm A?​

Explanation:

we want 1/5 on farm A and 4/5 of cows on farm B.


((300+250))/(5) = (550)/(5) = 110

110 cows is 1/5. 550-110=440 and 440 is 4/5.

we want 110 cows on farm A and 440 on farm B.

So, there already is 250 cows on farm B and we need to move 440-250=190 cows from farm A to farm B.

And you can check that 4*110=440
