Q: Why do we need to learn about past scientists?

A: So we can learn how science has progressed and learn important discoveries in the past that may not matter as much now but are very useful to know.

Step-by-step explanation:

There have been many historical events scientific events like the first moon landing and vaccines being created. These are very important so you can learn how things used to work, see how they work now, and learn what changed them to make them so much better. Past scientists were also very smart of their time and some have made great discoveries that changed our whole future, so it is useful to know why and how it happened and be thankful for the great changes that helped us get to where we are today.

hope this helps :)

It is important to learn about past scientific work mostly because with that knowledge we know what those scientists did to make what we have today known. These past scientists discoveries show how much they knew and with experiencing and experimenting what materials they had then and now we as youth can pass on those discoveries and do something more with it.
