The highest and lowest temperatures ever

recorded in Africa are 136°F and -11°F.
The highest temperature was recorded in
Libya, and the lowest temperature was
recorded in Morocco. What is the difference
in these temperature extremes?

The difference is 147 degrees.
Since one of your numbers is negative, you would change the negative to a positive and add the two values together to get your difference
