Answer: 1) D 2) B, A 3) A

Explanation:

Domain is the x-values

Range is the y-values

Graph is a function if no x-values are duplicated

1) option D

(3, 7), (1, 0), (8, 1), (-4, -3), (2, 7)

↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

Domain: x = {1, 1, 8, -4, 2} → No duplicates so it is a function.

(3, 7), (1, 0), (8, 1), (-4, -3), (2, 7)

↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

Range: y = {7, 0, 1, -3} 7 is a duplicate so only needs to be listed once

2) Domain = option B, Range = option A

x-values are between -5 (included = bracket) and +5 (not included = parentheses)

y-values are between -5 (included = bracket) and +5 (included = bracket)

3) option A

Domain: x = {1, 4, 5, 7, 9} → 4 matches to both 5 and 7 so is NOT a function

Range: y = {3, 5, 7, 8}
