Answer:

14. y = x - 6

15.
y = -(1)/(2)x-5

Explanation:

Slope-intercept form is y = mx + b where:

"m" is the slope

"b" is the y-intercept

"x" and "y" are points on the graph.

For each question,

  1. Find the slope by counting rise over run between two points
  2. Find the y-intercept by where the graph hits the y-axis
  3. Substitute the slope and y-intercept into y = mx + b

14.

Slope:

Two points are (6, 0) and (7, 1).

m= (rise)/(run) \\=(1)/(1)\\= 1

Y-intercept:

b = -6

y = 1x - 6

We don't need to write the 1.

∴ The equation is y = x - 6

15.

Slope:

Two points are (-2, -4) and (0, -5).

m = (rise)/(run)\\=(-1)/(2)

Y-intercept:

b = -5

∴ The equation is
y = -(1)/(2)x - 5
