why?
hounds are a type of dog. dogs are known for having an amazing sense of smell. that's why they're used with police. in the wild, dogs and wolves can use their smelling power to hunt out food, or sniff out danger. an average dog's nose is 100,000 times more powerful than a human nose. they also have a keen sense of hearing. dogs have can hear frequencies from 40 to 60,000 hz. although that is amazing compared to a human, it means they struggle with picking up loud sounds. the labrador retriever is the dog with the best sense of hearing amongst all breeds of dogs. in the wild, i believe that a labrador would be great at hunting, although we don't want to put one of our pets in the wild.
hope this helps :)
