substitute all the variables into the equation y=mx+b which is -4=5/4(-4)+b where we have to find the b.

-4=5/4(-4)+b
-4=-5+b
1=b
now we substitute b back into the equation
y=5/4x+b
m-slope
y and x - the points
b- the y intercept

Answer: y = 5/4x + 1

Explanation:

We use equation y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

5/4 is the slope so we already know 5/4x

we can do y = mc + b or -4 = 5/4 x -4 + b, or solve for b by b = -4 - 5/4 (-4) and get that b = 1
