Answer:

There are infinitely many solutions ⇒ D

Explanation:

  • If the two lines coincided which mean they represented by the same line (two lines over each other), then they have an infinite number of solutions
  • The simplest form of their equations are equal

Let us check our question

∵ The equations of the system are y = x + 2 and -3x + 3y = 6

→ Simplify the 2nd equation

∵ -3x + 3y = 6 → Divide both sides by 3

∴ -x + y = 2

→ Add x to both sides

∵ -x + x + y = 2 + x

y = x + 2

∵ The simplest forms of the equations equal

∵ They are represented graphically by two lines over each other

∴ The system of equations has an infinite number of solutions

There are infinitely many solutions.
