Now let's insert the coordinates of points (6,9) and (4,3) in the slope formula.


m = (y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)\\\\m = (9 - 3)/(6 - 4)\\\\m = (6)/(2)\\\\m = 3

You could also do
m = (3-9)/(4-6) and would get the same result.
