Answer:

$53.21

Explanation:

You have a 10% discount so .10 times your total is the discount:

.10 x 59.12 = 5.912

Now, subtract $5.91 from the the total to get the price after a coupon (rounded to 5.91 because cents don't go into the thousandths place):

$59.12 - $5.91

= $53.21

So, your bill is $53.21 after the coupon is used

Answer:

$53.21

Explanation:

If 10% comes off of the 100% that we would have paid originally, that means we're just paying 90%. That means we've to calculate:

$59.12 * 90% =

$59.12 * .9 =

$53.208.

Because you don't really pay anything past the hundredths place, we can just round the 8 up to get: $53.21
