Use the distance formula to find the distance, to the nearest tenth, from S(5, −4) to W(−3, 7).

Answer:

185

Explanation:

distance formula is d=√((x_2-x_1)²+(y_2-y_1)²

so it would be d=
\sqrt{(-3-5)^(2) + (7-(-4))^(2) }

where we see
(7-(-4))^(2) will turn into
(7+4)^(2)


(-3-5)^(2) =64


(7+4)^(2) =121

64+121= 185
